Great day Beautiful Weirdos!

Welcome to the year 2023! I’m so proud of us for making it this far.

I wanted to share a little of my 2022 with you. I had some great accomplishments in 2022, like celebrating my first year of working for myself this past June. That was a WIN. I literally was able to take care of myself Ya'll. I moved back home to be closer to family and I got Cameron (my puppy). Not only that, but I also started my Self-Discovery Coaching program, and it is so awesome!! These were my most fulfilling accomplishments of 2022. Now let’s get into the challenges and the lessons.

I’m more aware now that we sometimes we have more “bad” than good happening in our lives. I don’t necessarily want more challenges and lessons, but I am grateful that I learn and grow through them.

CHALLENGE  2022 was a heavy hitter for my business. The recession kicked my ass, and I was not prepared. I was able to keep my business afloat, but at what cost?

LESSON — Stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready. I did not watch the news or really pay attention until it was a little too late. Now I’m always checking the news to see what the hell is happening. It’s better to be informed than to be clueless.

WHAT DID I DO? — I left home to move to a city where I thought I would have more opportunities for in person interactions. I usually offer my pendants online and at an actual vendor market. I had to get a 9-5. Yep, I did it. I’m now back on the clock. This was the hardest thing to process.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW? — I’m going to leave this new city for a few reasons.

  1. The vendor markets were not giving what I thought they would give.
  2. I had a roommate situation that did not pan out like I expected.
  3. I’m not happy working a 9-5 for someone else. It’s only been a month, and I’m not with it.
  4. I will create new systems and strategies to prepare for the unexpected.

What I’ve learned about myself through this part of my journey is as a creative I must really enjoy what I do to earn my income to live. I’ve experienced the freedom of doing what I enjoy and getting paid for it. That is the life we all desire to have, and I am getting back to that. We should get paid to exist. Do your part to help others and The Universe will reward you.

I’ve gained so much this past year and lost just as much. Understanding that life is truly about communication, patience, teamwork, growth and actions. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2023 has in store for me.

That’s it for 2022. The year of “Understanding” and "Growing Pains".

What was 2022 for you?

Thank you 2022.
